Started Small
Munsterlander Dogs

Mature, Field-Experienced Small Munsterlanders Developed Within Our Hunting and Breeding Program.
At Cedar's Point Kennel, occasionally our started Small Munsterlanders represent dogs that have moved well beyond the puppy stage and have gained real experience in the field.
While many started dogs are offered at 8–14 months of age, some of our dogs continue developing within our breeding and hunting program before becoming available to carefully selected homes. These mature dogs bring not only foundational training, but also valuable real-world hunting exposure and established temperament.
For hunters seeking a versatile companion without the challenges of raising and starting a puppy from scratch, a mature started dog can be an outstanding option.

IntCH Brush Dale's You Can't Fence Me In (Yetta)
Retired Brood Bitch Available After Spay Spring 2026
IntCH Brush Dale's You Can't Fence Me In (Yetta), is available for placement. She is a 7-year-old, highly experienced hunting dog that would be best suited for a serious hunting home looking for a near-finished bird dog rather than raising and training a puppy.
Yetta has been a cornerstone female in our breeding program and has proven herself both afield and as a producer of high drive hunting and companion dogs. We have retaining two of her offspring as we move forward with the next generation of our program.
The above chart summarizes NAVHDA Natural Ability outcomes for the top 10 most evaluated Small Munsterlander dam's progeny from April 30, 2021 through April 30, 2026-a five year window. These dogs represented progeny from the largest and most established breeding programs in North America: Cedars Point, Brush Dales, Robingun, Hunting Hills, and Mustain Kennels. Each bar reflects the number of progeny earning Prize I, II, III, or no pass in Natural Ability Testing by dam. Among these top ten tested dams, progeny of Brush Dale's You Can't Fence Me In (Yetta) demonstrated a strong balance of reliability and high-end performance, producing a high number of passing dogs while maintaining a substantial proportion of Prize I scores across the largest sample size. To view Yetta's entire progeny report including progeny who have advanced tested in Gun Dog and Utility and their specific scores per testing category go to our Cedars Point Progeny Results page. This page also offers stud and other brood bitch reporting as well.
Performance at Cedars Point is not the result of one dog—it is the result of a committed system and our buyers.
Hunting Experience
Yetta is a powerful, driven hunting dog with exceptional stamina and multiple seasons of hunting experience across several states. She has been hunted on both fur and feather, as well as waterfowl.

-
Prairie chicken
-
Hungarian partridge
-
Chukar
-
Ruffed grouse
-
Blue (dusky) grouse
-

In open terrain Yetta runs big and fast “like the wind”, but she naturally adjusts her range when hunting in forest cover. She is a staunch pointing dog with strong bird sense and an exceptional retriever, consistently delivering birds to hand.

Yetta's Pedigree can be found here.
Yetta ran the NAVHDA Utility Test and scored respectably. Unfortunately, she came into peak estrus during the test, which negatively affected steadiness and water work on that particular day.
Temperament
Yetta is a confident, dominant, high energy female and is the alpha female dog in our kennel environment.
Important temperament notes:
-
Less tolerant of intact females
-
Hunts well in braces, though she may not back dogs she does not know or respect
-
Excellent alarm barker and natural guard dog
-
Very devoted to her people and comfortable living in the home
Because of her personality, she would likely do best:
-
as the only dog, or
-
with dominant male dogs or submissive females
Health & Condition
Yetta is in excellent physical condition and has demonstrated exceptional durability through multiple hunting seasons.
She has had very few health issues or pad injuries and maintains outstanding stamina in the field with proper conditioning. She will be spayed prior to placement.
Yetta is up to date on vaccinations and parasite management.
Breeding Program
Yetta has been the strongest producing brood bitch in our kennel.
To date she has produced:
-
Three NAVHDA NA Breeder’s Awards
-
She has one additional litter entering NAVHDA testing this season
Two of her progeny are being retained and evaluated for our breeding program, one of her daughters whelped her first litter this spring.
Longevity in the Line
Yetta comes from a line known for strong hunting longevity and aptitude.
-
Her mother passed away recently after a 14 year life.
-
Her father, Fuglejaeger Dixon, an import is likely one of the most heavily tested Small Munsterlander in North America-he was tested in NAVHDA through the Invitational, the JGHV system through HZP, AKC through Junior Hunter, and the Verstatile Hunting Dog Federation through Advanced Hunting Aptitude Evaluation (AHAE).
Ideal Home
Yetta would thrive in a serious hunting home that appreciates a mature, experienced dog.
She still has many strong hunting seasons ahead of her and enjoys having a job to do.
Placement
Yetta will be placed into a carefully selected hunting home. Placement fee will reflect her experience, training level, and proven hunting ability.
Serious hunting inquiries welcome.
Preference will be given to NAVHDA members or experienced hunting homes.
